3 Conviron growth chambers (Model: GEN1000 SH) and 2 Conviron growth chambers (Model: PGR15)
Los Alamos National Laboratory
Description
These growth chambers are ideal for short plant growth experiments. Can be used for full life cycle analysis of bioenergy crops like Camelina and Carinata as well as tall crops up to aspen tree seedlings (PGR15).
These chambers have capability to control humidity and also equipped with CO2 supplementation and scrubbing facility.
Capability Bounds
These growth chambers can house 7-8 small plants simultaneously and we expect to be able to run 3-4 experiments/year depending on the experimental design and duration.
Unique Aspects
These growth chambers are ideal for greenhouse gas emission measurements, CO2 supplementation experiments and also to perform plant growth experiments under stress conditions, and can be used to support testing of plant pathogen effects and detection.
Availability
Availability by research collaboration with LANL experts.
Benefit
Can be utilized for small experiment when greenhouse space is not available or need to perform controlled environment experiments.
